A General Contractors license is required in New Mexico (NM) prior to bidding on any project.  To become a licensed contractor, candidates are required to pass two examinations: business and law and their trade.  Applications for licensure can obtained from the New Mexico Construction Industries Division by calling 505-476-4500.  Please note that pre-approval is required through the board before sitting for an examination.
